Antiseptic, Warming and Soothing Clove Bud essential oil is a powerful antiseptic and fungicide with a rich, sweet and spicy aroma. It has a positive action on the digestive system when used in massage and assists in relieving joint pain and tooth ache temporarily.

In high doses, clove bud oil is reported to be toxic, especially in young children (Battaglia S 2003 The Complete Guide to Aromatherapy Queensland, The International Centre of Holistic Aromatherapy p 190).
