Juniper Berry Essential Oil

Steam distilled from the berries of the tree, Juniper berry essential oil has a fresh, woody-sweet, pine aromatics. It promotes increased circulation and renal filtration assisting the elimination of toxins. It is easing and soothing to muscles and joints and helps increase mental concentration. It may be used in massage oils, baths, direct inhalation or in a diffuser or vaporiser.

Juniper is contraindicated during pregnancy or when renal disease is present (Battaglia S 2003 The Complete Guide to Aromatherapy Queensland, The International Centre of holistic Aromatherapy p 190).
